SOUTHAMPTON SPITFIRES IN THE NEWS

SINCE the club's formation in summer 2007 Southampton Spitfires have slowly but consistently increased their public profile through both local press and media, as well as coverage in the national Rugby League press. It is still early days in the development and expansion of the club but already we have enjoyed some notable exposure.

Landmark moments include; our first ever match report in the Southern Daily Echo in 2007, the first ever live score updates and coverage of a Rugby League match in the city of Southampton, which featured on BBC Radio Solent, coverage on BBC Radio London and a cameo appearance on Sky Sports 'Boots n All' programme plus a couple of Rugby League World Magazine features; all in 2009.

Every time we are featured in the local press or on the radio our web site hits peak sharply, which is good news for everyone connected with the club.
